Providing pro-bono counselling services to anyone who requires support.
2022 RECRUITMENT
Who We Are
Our Community of Paracounsellors (CPC) was started in 2006 under Catholic Family Life (formerly known as Family Life Society) to provide pro-bono counselling services to anyone who requires support. Our volunteers include Hotline Support members and para-counsellors with formal counselling training and are ready to provide a listening ear.
Para-counselling service is offered at locations mainly at the Catholic churches due to logistics and cost considerations as we are a charity that relies on donations. In recent years we have begun to offer para-counselling service at some community centres in Singapore.
Our Vision
"To be a community grounded in faith, uplifting each other, proficient in counselling, bring hope and healing to families, couples and individuals facing life's challenges."
Our vision guides us towards building our community and for members to support one another. This includes programmes and activities for bonding such as retreat, day of reflection, and community day.
CPC also provides monthly group supervision and quarterly training for all volunteers to build proficiency and ability so as to support families, couples and individuals.
